Seeking asylum can be an overwhelming and stressful experience, often impacting mental health significantly. Asylum seekers frequently face traumatic circumstances in their home countries, including violence, persecution, and discrimination, which can lead to conditions such as PTSD, anxiety, and depression. The uncertainty and challenges of the asylum process, such as lengthy legal proceedings, detention, and the fear of deportation, can exacerbate these mental health issues.
